Again, there will not be any presentations here, due to System Maintenance.

The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. My new laptop has been ordered and arrives on Wednesday, so should be ready for its first Zoom outing next Sunday.

Some of you have said that during these strange and quirky days you quite enjoy to meet up for a chat, so I thought that it would be nice to open up my Zoom meeting to anyone who wants to drop in for a chat.

Sunday Chez Paul,

The Maintenance on my laptop is still in progress. 

I spent some of last week looking through various images from Stops of previous C&S trips. A pattern evolved where ate most stops there would be plant of which would say ‘That’s a great / pretty / interesting plant – but what is it?’

It’s a theme that I’ll explain in more detail tonight – as long as the laptop holds out!

Roll on Black Friday when I get my new laptop!

The Maintenance on my laptop is still in progress. Often it works perfectly well and then, without warning, the keyboard ceases to function – it then works often in tablet mode, I try to keep most of my data (images, music and my digital records) on plug-in Hard Drives. Just as my keyboard ceases to function, so my hard drives will occasionally ‘freeze’, usually when you need them. The solution is to replace it with the latest model.

I’m watching the internet like a hawk and as soon as the Black Friday offers start pouring out I’ll grab one at the right price. In the mean time, fingers crossed that things work tonight!

I have offered to write some articles for the Mammillaria Society Journal and after the informal chat I’ll try to show a short presentation to see how it works.
